About Krista's Sistas

When my web guy (also my husband) asked me to create a brief “About Me,” I found it funny that while I had endless things to say and write about my child and daily “motherings,” I didn’t know where to begin actually talking about me. So here goes: I’m a Texas-born Floridian who studied English in college, and eventually went into secondary education. I was fortunate enough to marry my high school sweetheart, and our child is the inspiration for Krista’s Sistas. I enjoy baked goods, running (to keep up with my love of baked goods), watching movies, scuba diving, and quality time with my family. I run on coffee and electronic music, and I currently work in admissions at a local state college. Now that I feel sufficiently weird after digging for anything about myself to describe to you, I will end by saying that - as you might have guessed - I absolutely love to share everything there is about motherhood with others, and I am so glad to meet you. I look forward to hearing your stories, and growing as a mother with all you have to share.

What is Krista's Sistas, you might ask? I've had to ask it myself several times in creating this site. Even as I write this, I am still in the middle of the process and fine-tuning it as I go. It may start out as one thing, grow to be another - kind of like how raising children and becoming a mother can be. We don't really know until it happens, and even then we are re-defining ourselves, what we thought it should be like, and hoping to keep our principles intact in the process. But, as any mother can attest to, there are a hundred reasons why we do the things we do, and just why there is a Krista's Sistas. . .
